Fiercely loyal to St. Peter’s legacy for educational excellence, Sandy has a storied reputation as one of St. Peter’s most beloved teachers. Spanning more than two decades, Sandy’s tenure at St. Peter’s began in 1992.
“I love to learn, and I am always on a learning pilgrimage. My classroom is an active laboratory where every person is simultaneously a teacher and a student. We are teaching each other, and we are learning together. When students observe teachers as active learners, they become active learners. In second grade, we are crusaders on a quest for knowledge.”
Prior to joining the St. Peter’s faculty, Sandy taught at Rivermont Elementary School. She also completed training with the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts.
Sandy and her husband, Glenn, are parents of two grown daughters, Amy and Kate, who are both St. Peter’s graduates.
