BS, Early Childhood Education, University of Tennessee, Chattanooga
Tracy has been teaching kindergarten at St. Peter’s since 2009. Certified to teach preschool through third grade, she started her educational career as a first grade teacher in the Hamilton County school system.
Tracy approaches her job as an opportunity to identify and liberate the potential each child has. “I want every student to be a discoverer and to feel they are valued for their ideas, their gifts. When young children have the freedom to inquire and explore, they begin to accept responsibility for the learning process. They are becoming independent learners.”
When she is not engaging students, Tracy is spending time with her husband, Stephen, and their two sons, Landon and Harrison. Landon is a graduate of St. Peter’s, and Harrison is a current St. Peter’s student.
