Claudia was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. When she and her husband, Brandon, moved to Tennessee, she seized the opportunity to be a bridge between two cultures. Emboldened by this idea and with a fire that was sparking the “teacher in my soul,” Claudia approached Red Bank Elementary to inquire about working with students. Excited about Claudia’s vision, Red Bank hired her to work with young children as an educational assistant. After four years at Red Bank, Claudia contacted St. Jude’s Catholic School about implementing a program to expose students to Spanish through intentional educational aids that would enhance their vocabulary and language skills. Insistent and zealous, she collaborated with specific St. Jude faculty and developed a program in which she taught for three years.
Passionate and effervescent, Claudia is a dynamic educator. When she is not exploding with energy in her junior kindergarten classroom, she is exercising or pampering her miniature schnauzer, Lucy. Claudia also enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, their son, Nicholas, and their daughter, Isabella.
